This sterling silver gemstone stacking ring features a druzy gemstone that has been bezel set in fine and sterling silver.  Gemstone is oval shaped and has a thick, sterling silver ring band.

Ring band is just over 2mm wide. The thick, sterling silver ring band gives this ring weight, while still stacking well. Ring band is half round for comfort.

The term druzy refers to tiny quartz crystals that are formed on the surface of other gemstones when water containing silica particles is forced into a  porous area of a rock and rapidly cools there. The clear crystals often form on top of previously deposited minerals, which give the particles their color. The crystals create a glittering effect as they reflect light from their many facets.
